Our first show here in Byron Bay was on the Juke Joint stage. My ex hubby Thomas Yearsley did a great job on electric bass! The tent was packed with people and we had a great line at the CD booth. The crowd loved Laura Chavez and her ripping guitar solos. Kurt Kalker wowed em on the drums. The festival staff is top notch. They even offer massages for the artists. I saw a bunch more friends - Jimmie Vaughan, Lou Ann Barton, Stanley Behrens, Tom Holland. Joanne Shaw Taylor sounded awesome. I am so grateful for the day I had and the wonderful sound men who made us sound so good. Thanks to Peter Noble for making it all possible. Tomorrow we play at 1:30 pm. Thats like the morning for us! Was sad that Dave Gonzales from the Paladins slipped on a rock and broke his left hand! He had to be taken to the hospital! Send him your white light. A guitar player with a broken hand is a sad sight. Hope he recovers quickly!
