Our friends at Goose Lake Weather (located in Grundy county) posted a fascinating time lapse of yesterdays weather from morning until evening. You can see the morning storms to the north, clearing in the late morning and early afternoon, followed by small cumulus puffs developing as the atmosphere starts to destabilize, finally you can see thunderstorms blossom toward evening. Notice the mid and high clouds being blown eastward while the developing storms move very little.
