Our frigid blast of cold air is here and it is accompanied by snow! A couple inches may fall through this evening creating very slick conditions in the Metro area and over much of the Front Range. Be extremely careful on the roads tonight. Front Range & Denver Metro Area: Light snow through early tonight with 1-3 inches possible. Temperatures will drop into the teens overnight. Tomorrow, highs near 20 with more light snow or flurries possible. Foothills/Valleys: Snow continuing through the late evening with 2-4 inches possible. Overnight lows will be near 10 degrees! High temperatures on Tuesday will be around 20 degrees with a chance of light snow. Plains: Windy, very cold with light snow this evening and tonight. Accumulations mostly an inch or less. Overnight lows will drop to near 10 degrees. Very cold on Tuesday with highs 15- 20 degrees. Mountains: Snow tonight, especially along and north of I-70. Three to six inches possible with lows 10 to 15 degrees. Cold with periods of light snow Tuesday, highs in the mid 20s to mid 30s. Western Slope: Windy and colder with scattered rain and snow showers tonight, lows in the low to mid 30s. Partly cloudy Tuesday with highs in the 40s to low 50s. Extended Forecast: The plains and Front Range will stay very cold through the end of the week. The best chance for more snowfall will be Tuesday night into Wednesday morning; however flurries are possible pretty much every day.
