Our hearts are heavy that Joel Michel, our missionary to the Netherlands has graduated at such a young age to Heaven as a result of a sudden automobile crash today at the Holland/Belgium border. Please pray for his wife Collette, and their three young children: Annita, age 4; Timothy, age 2; and Annalise, age 10 months. Earlier today I talked to my old college friend, Pastor Bob Wall from Canada and he was reminding me again of the stellar Christian testimony of Brother Joel. It seemed to be such an ordained mission: Joel and Collette both having grandparents who were native to the Netherlands and finding each other and being part of the answer to their grandparents’ prayers for their homeland to be reached. We don’t pretend to have answers to any whys on a day like today, but we can say without reservation, God is good and does good. “Thou art good, and doest good…” (Psalm 119:68). “As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him” (II Samuel 22:31).
