Our instructors often remind us that we should stay positive because were getting paid to do this. One week it was getting to shoot with Night Vision Goggles and laser sights. (Usually they use getting to shoot a lot as the example) Or if we just sit in class all day, theyll tell us that were getting paid to do nothing. But nothing has compared to watching my instructors pick the biggest Marines in our platoon, grab 2x4s, jump on their backs, and proceed to joust one another in the middle of the night or having one of those same instructors use both platoons to reenact the Revolutionary War as he yelled out commands in a British accent and lead us into battle against each other. Sometimes this place has its perks.
