Our kitchen manager Jeff Olson had a beautiful experience yesterday. He writes, “A kind couple drove up to Utah’s Place in a pickup truck full of grocery bags. They had exactly the kinds of stuff we always need: healthy cereals, juices, bread, pasta, prepared soups, laundry soap, toothpaste, napkins, cups, and so on. As I was loading the cart to bring these items in, I said, ‘What a coincidence that you should have brought us these things that we use every day! To which the wife replied, ‘Actually, it’s no coincidence at all. We were homeless and Hospitality House took care of us when we had nothing. We know what important work you do here, and this is our way of giving back.’ Then they climbed back into their white 4WD truck and drove away.”
