Our last movie in Kashmir !!! It was another Cold Wintery Night, and we were all waiting for 9:00 PM, one of the biggest hits of all time, Bobby was to be shown on Doordarshan, the atmosphere was festive.. We were told to finish our meals before 9:00 PM, at 8:55 we all assembled near our new Portable BlackandWhite Oscar Tv, and then the RK Banner appeared on screen, and then the movie started, at around 10:00 PM, our Neighbor came in and asked us to switch off our Tv and Lights, he said Blackout was declared by Terrorists and since we are already on their Radar , we should immediately switch it off ! We did the same ! The Festive atmosphere turned into sad night, and yes thats how the nights of Nov, Dec, Jan were for us, the Kashmiri Pandits, we lived in constant fear, fear of life , Fear even to breathe ! This 18th January, lets assemble and Remember to Revere, To Revive and RECLAIM !! Arya auditorium 18th January 2015, 9:30 AM.. Be there !!
