Our laws frown upon the use of corrupt means to influence voters or elections in Ghana.The Criminal Offence Act, 1960(Act 29.Sec 241) states: "A person commits the criminal offence of corrupting a public officer, juror, or voter in respect of the duties of office or in respect of the voter, if that person endeavours, directly or indirectly, to influence the conduct of the public officer, juror or voter in respect of the duties of office or in respect of the vote, by the gift, promise or prospect of a valuable consideration to be receive by the public officer, juror, or voter, or by any other person, from any other person."
