Our letter to PayPal: PayPal: Case Number: PP-003-319-398-631 USER: RangerS5 Registered Email: support@rangers5 Notice Received: August 5, 2014 PayPal Representatives Adam DJ (Supervisor) Eileen (Compliance) Response Sent: August 8, 2014 Distribution: PAYPAL CEO STAFF INVESTORS LEGAL RESPRESENTATION - Complaints - Required Response Date Prior to Civil/Federal Action: September 8, 2014 Citing: 26 U.S. Code § 170 – CHARITABLE, ETC., CONTRIBUTIONS AND GIFTS Protection of Anonymous Donations Violation of 1st Amendment Rights, Anonymous Communication Citing: RELIGIOUS LIBERTY AND CHARITABLE DONATION PROTECTION ACT OF 1998 Bill: H3999-H4005 Protection of Anonymous Donations Violation of 1st Amendment Rights; Anonymous Communication Citing: PAYPAL DONATIONS BUTTON, USES; ScreenShots: 2014-08-08 at 2.31.00 PM.png and 2014-08-08 at 2.26.39 PM.png Discrimination, Veteran Owned Small Business - End of Compaints- Dear PayPal, In response to your request for information regarding our fundraising efforts, you have violated our U.S. Constitutionally Protected Rights, through violation of House Bill H3999-H4005, Religious Liberty and Charitable Donation Protection Act of 1998. During our phone call to PayPal Representative “Adam” on , we were forced to VERBALLY disclose donations previously made by our company, as recorded by us, and confirmed to have been disclosed by PayPal Supervisor “DJ,” which we presently maintain a recording of. Furthermore, we have dated screenshots of the PayPal Donate button, and it’s terms of use, along with your source code for that specific page: “This button is intended for fundraising. If you are not raising money for a cause, please choose another option. Nonprofits must verify their status to withdraw donations they receive. Users that are not verified nonprofits must demonstrate how their donations will be used, once they raise more than $10,000 USD.” *Screenshot attached in email. As PayPal has “assumed” unwarranted wrong-doing on the part of RangerS5, RangerS5 thereby assumes Discrimination against PayPal for their assumptions against RangerS5, as PayPal’s own definitions were not met in order to warn/suspend the users account. See justification below. The page does not identify PayPal’s definition of a “cause” nor is it defined in the Terms and Conditions. Furthermore, we had not reached the “$10,000 USD” mark, as we had only raised $570.00 at the time PayPal placed a warning on our account, with an enclosed deadline of 30 calendar days to explain our fundraising efforts. Additionally, nowhere on the page does providing this “button,” does it warn of Audit or Requirement to be a 501.C.3 entity. The donations we were forced to verbally disclose, in our defense, October 2013’s donations to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, went unquestioned, and stated by both “Adam” and “DJ,” “might help” our case. During that period, we raised over $20,000 utilizing that same feature/button readily provided by PayPal. No query was sent as a result of this massive fundraiser. “The US Supreme Court has ruled in three separate decisions that solicitations for charitable contributions is protected under the First Amendment.” Ref. Office of the Attorney General website. We may or may not choose to suspend our decision to file suit for violation of our First Amendment Rights, regardless of your cooperation as it relates to removing warnings/restrictions as it pertains to this well-documented violation. If you choose to violate our First Amendment Rights and further, as outlined as protected by the above referenced Bill dated 1998, we will file further Civil and Federal Charges. We request that this particular requirement for clarification/information be removed from our account.
