Our lil Mama dog found herself a home! Snickers (now named Maui) ADOPTED!!! Snickers was found, dumped in a rural area near Yerington, and she was pregnant. She found herself at the Lyon County Animal Services and about to have her babies. She was fostered so she could give birth outside the shelter environment and after a month, was transferred over to CRCS. Back in November we opened our arms and hearts to 7 little 4 week old puppies and this beautiful dog, their mama. Snickers was a very good mother and taught them all good social skills without transferring stress or fear over to any of them. An amazing feat given all she went through (including being moved while nursing). This little girl watched all her babies find wonderful homes one by one... and today was her turn! Snickers helped many of the dogs here at CRCS more than we can explain. She was a very good teacher and energy for each and every dog we put her with. She taught many of them manners, how to socialize with other dogs, and yet for many others she demonstrated that people were OK, even though she herself was fearful of men. Snickers, on behalf of our entire team, you will be greatly missed. You have not only helped your babies find wonderful homes, but you have stopped the cycle of no-spay/neuter, and taught so many CRCS dogs some very valuable lessons along the way. We feel so blessed to have been a part of your journey home and are forever grateful for all your help! WE MISS YOU SWEET GIRL! Carry on...
