Our little foster baby, Shaggy went to the vet today and is doing - TopicsExpress

Our little foster baby, Shaggy went to the vet today and is doing just fine. The main problem seems to have been from the fleas he was covered in when he arrived. We got rid of all those nasty fleas, cleaned his ears and gave him a good bath. According to the doc, Shaggy had a lite case of hoop worms, but otherwise appears to be healthy. He said the fleas and improper diet has him a bit out of whack, but he should straighten out real soon. We started him on his worm meds and gave his baby shots so he is ready to run and be a happy little puppy. Thank you to the Sandy Wayne family who made donations for Shaggys treatments. We would like to continue to help other babies like Shaggy and really appreciate all the help with the vet care and other expenses such as food, puppy pads, and other supplies. Shaggy is scheduled to leave on the 16th for his rescue home, and we are hoping Jazzy will be able to go with him. If you would like to make donations directly to the vets office for the care of our foster babies, please send your donations to: Veterinary Hospital of Centreville, 1780 Montgomery Hwy., Centreville, Alabama 35042 Phone (205) 926-4347. You can mail payments or make a payment over the phone. Make sure to tell them to put it on my account: REBA MORSE, and send me a message letting me know when you donate so I can make sure it is applied to the account correctly. Once Shaggy and Jazzy are gone, we are sure more babies will be hanging out at our house, and I would like to have them checked out by a vet as soon as they arrive, as many foster animals have never had a vet check before and most are in great need of proper care. I tried to get some better shots of Shaggy today, but it is very hard to get him to stand still for his glamour shots. Although he looks black, he has fine lines of reddish/brown throughout his coat and a white blaze under his neck. The doc says although he has a LOT of Scottish terrier in him, it appears he may have a bit of dachshund in him as well. He is very low to the ground, and a bit long. But what a sweetheart this little boy is and will be a great addition to someones home. Thanks again for all the help with him
