Our mindset is very important when it comes to giving. It is not expected that we give when we do not have to give. Once we manifest abundance though, the attitude with which we give is more important than the gift itself. We are expected to give with a merry and a willing mind. Everyone who has abundance is expected to give and give to help ease the burden of another. “For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have. For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened; but by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack—that there may be equality.” ~ 2 Corinthians 8:12-14
