Our most precious friends: Thank you for springing into action on our behalf this evening. I was sent many private messages from doctors and nurses who led us in the right direction. We cannot thank you for holding our hands in this journey. From this point forward, we will leave this page about our familys spiritual walk with Christ because thats what our story is all about. Sometimes we have deep belly laughs and we see humor around every corner. For those who have not followed our story, my mom lost her mom to metastatic breast cancer (brain), I fought an incurable form of lymphoma and she underwent treatment the last year for advanced breast cancer before it broke off to her bones. This is not our first rodeo, however this is our first rodeo in dealing with bone decay and excruciating pain. We are pretty advanced in the cancer world...and dealing with doctors, so we gently remind everyone that not all journeys are the same. My mom said tonight: Oh we can never do anything the easy way, it has to be the advanced, aggressive cancer way. Sometimes we can only laugh...for instance...thank you to those who sent messages that my mom should have a double mastectomy to avoid all of this. Trust me, she gave up both her boobs long ago and got reconstruction in October. None of that effected her bone metastatic disease; sometimes, cancer rears its ugly head and grows before it can be stopped. Trust me, my mom did everything humanely possible and NONE of this is her fault nor do we ever question Gods will for any of us. ON A LIGHTER NOTE...we had a great evening with a few praises to share! First of all, my mom was able to take a bath tonight! Were only able to do this every few days as it takes all of her energy, but she is squeaky clean and looking more gorgeous than ever! She ALSO stayed awake to watch DolphinTale 2 (amazing movie) which was perfect for our hearts and just what the doctor ordered! And finally -- we now have Walkie Talkies, so my Dad and I can move around the house now. We laughed so hard that we cried playing on the Walkie Talkies and practicing this evening. For instance: Mom, do you need Ginger Ale, over? or Mom, do you need me to prop your pillow up, over? It was a good time and we really enjoyed just laughing and laughing like we were kids. Over. We love you all and cheers to another fabulous day on this roller coaster we get to call life. Thanks for boosting our morale. PRAYER: God, all that You make is good. And all that seem to oppose Your will is but a tool to accomplish it. Change my perspective today to see beyond the shadows, above the clouds, where the light never stops shining. Plant the truth of it in me: there are gifts worth counting to one thousand for and gifts that will emerge out of the deathly dark. Thank you for both; JOY is always worth the wait. AMEN. OVER.
