Our news stories for Monday, October 6th: Today is the deadline to register to vote if you plan on casting a ballot in the November 4th election. Also, remember to vote in this election you must have an acceptable photo ID. If you dont have one of those, contact the nearest driver license office. DPS law enforcement efforts over the Labor Day period--two weeks worth--snagged more than 1100 drunk drivers and bagged almost 20 thousand speeders. Congressman Henry Cuellar lauded the efforts to sign people up for the Affordable Care Act and area football teams had a busy Friday night, with some losses and some wins.
