Our next drawing will benefit Fluffy Retreat. Here are some words from Pam Weaver so that we can all get to know the rescue: Fluffy Retreat is a small ferret rescue established in 2010 - originally as a halfway house for ferrets waiting for rescue placements and has grown into a rescue in its own right. Many ferrets come in to rescue through no fault of their own. Each year large numbers of ferrets are bred from in the UK, resulting in many more unwanted kits. Fluffy Retreat is funded by myself and some fundraising activities. Fluffy Retreat neuters all ferrets over six months old (unless extreme health circumstances mean it is too high risk - few and far between) All ferrets are vaccinated and micro-chipped. All ages, sizes and shapes catered for If we have space, we never turn a ferret away, no matter how aggressive or ill that ferret may be. At the moment any money raised will probably be going to Ripleys costs. He was diagnosed this morning with a back leg luxating patella. He came into the house and walked across the floor while I put his meds down and seemed to slip on his front end and now he is incredibly lame on his front two. So, x-rays have been brought forward to first thing in the morning, but looks like he has something degenerative going on with his bones and joints. Diagnostics alone are going to be a couple hundred, even if hes not able to be treated... but I cant not do the x-rays, I need to know whats going on with him.
