Our performance today against Chelsea was an absolute shambles. Despite the fact that the margin was only 2-1, for too much of the game we were playing at Anfield like you would expect in an away game. Attacking wise, what is so blatantly obvious is that we have no goals in the team whatsoever. We look ok going forward from a midfield point of view in Coutinho especially, however, I feel that we could have played for another 90 minutes today and not put another goal past Chelsea. Balotelli should not be starting games - Borini and/or Lambert should because lets be fair, what have they done wrong? Nothing. I dont feel the players are being managed very well here because take Toure for example, he was brilliant versus Real Madrid - so why on Earth was he dropped? Defensively, we were all over the place yet again. This leads me to strongly question why on Earth Brendan will still not bring in a defensive coach. Today, I actually found myself seriously doubting Brendans tactics also - Coutinho off? Really? There is no doubt that he was our star player in my eyes - he was running rings round the Chelsea midfield. Can was alright too yet was subbed and Allen on? Really? Need I say more? Balotelli should have been subbed off for Borini early in the second half. I just thought we were absolutely dreadful - No plan B, devoid of ideas. We are fast becoming a mid to low table team again after one decent season and Rodgers needs to stop the rot fast! His signings have so far proven to be absolute dross on the whole and so it is now imperative that Sturridge hits the ground running when he finally returns, whilst our January transfer window will be vital. If Rodgers messes it up again in January, the buck will stop at his door and perhaps he will ultimately be shown the door. (Tez)
