Our so-called leaders are habouring delusions of grandeur, instead - TopicsExpress

Our so-called leaders are habouring delusions of grandeur, instead of calling a spade a spade and focusing on solving more pressing issues they are busy wasting our time and money on privolities expecting the problems to be sorted out and solved by the masses. While they put on a facade that everything is alright and they are working on the problems faced by our nation, on the other hand they offer aid tn other countries at the snap of their fingers, even if it means borrowing money from the world bank and other large organizations just to keep the title Giant of Africa. But sadly same cannot be done for the masses who toil day in day out to make the country a better place. Its a pity that the same generation Y believed to be dreaming more and doing less is responsible for the development of the creative industry even when its evident that the conditions the polished works of our artistes are being made are not comparable to others found in developed countries, we still come out tops at each facet. I believe we need to forget about this delusions of grandeur and look for recipes of grandeur if we really want to beat our hands on our chest and proclaim with a confident loud voice and our heads held up high that we are the GIANTS OF AFRICA! - Inyang Nsisong
