Our street resurfacing project began today. As a friendly reminder, crews plan on removing the top layer of old asphalt where applicable. On the second day, they will begin putting down the new asphalt. We are asking for residents assistance in making sure vehicles are off of the affected streets until the work is completed. Our crews have placed temporary no parking signs along the curbs on the affected streets. The goal is to complete the needed work as quickly as possible with the least amount of disruption in street parking while making these infrastructure improvements. The following streets are included in this year’s resurfacing project: · West Boone from 5th Street to Main Street · Park Street from 1st to 2nd Street · Fairgrounds Street from Jackson Street to Alhambra Avenue · Melody Lane from Wilshire Drive to Haven Avenue · Haven Avenue from Maish Road to east end · Wilshire Drive from Maish Road to Haven Avenue · Young Street and Vermont Street (curved area only)
