Our sweet Maggie baby is not doing well. Our hearts sink as she cannot tell us what to do to help her. After an hour exam at the vet yesterday including a battery of x-rays, we still do not know the real injury to her little shoulder. Plenty of meds and STRICT REST for one month. This is not so easy as Yorkies are real frog dogs jumping all directions. No broken bones. Possible soft tissue tear or pinched nerve (or injury similar to a rotator cup tear on humans which does not show on x-rays), needing MRI or CT scan in the event she does not improve. That would call for a neurologist or orthopedic doggy doctor. We do not want the leg to atrophy. The shrill crying, periodically off and on for two days, has us all shattered to the core. Our sweet baby... :(
