Our sweet, adorable pup Twinkle has found her loving, forever home. We had lots of interest in Twinkle but this family was special. They were looking for a second sato. They had adopted their dog Ryder from a local shelter and he was originally from Puerto Rico. They wanted a second dog who was also from Puerto Rico. When they found Twinkles picture on Petfinder they fell in love. Ana, Sean and Ryder took the trip to Manhattan to meet Erica, Twinkles amazing foster mom, and Twinkle. Erica thought they were great and Twinkle and Ryder had lots of fun together. Here is an update from Twinkle/now Sophies mom: Things are going great so far. The first day we had to monitor them closely while they got adjusted to each other and got over all their excitement and curiosity. But now on day three they seem to have a better feel for each other and are more used to each other being around. Their playing is not nearly as rough. I stayed home today to help Sophie adapt to crate training and although that is a little rough with her crying, she seems to settle herself down after about 10 minutes and remain quiet. I have also contacted Ryders trainer for any advice she can offer us to help them with the transition. Ryder and Sophie (newly named) have been following each other around, standing neighborhood watch at the window and cuddling on the couch all day on top of their playing and getting better with sharing toys. :) Theyre even showing protectiveness over each other. When we walk, they always stop to make sure the other is catching up and when we come home, the first thing they want to do is greet each other. Hes even started giving us (and her) kisses because he sees her do it all the time. He was never a kissy pup (Lol) She had her first check up with the vet today and the vet says she is a very healthy, 17lb, little girl and gave me the all clear to let her play her heart out lol. Shes healed up quite nicely from her spay. Here are some photos :)
