Our total for the Alma Hunt Offering for Virginia Missions is $1189. It is not too late to give! The Deacons will meet Sunday at 7:15pm. Beginning in October, there will be no Children’s Time with JR on the first Sunday of the month. All preschoolers should be taken to the preschool area before the worship service begins. The Nursery and Preschool Committee desperately needs volunteers to keep children for the coming year during the 10:45 worship service. The Leisure Time Fellowship will be going to Red Lobster for lunch next Tuesday, October 15. The bus will leave the church parking lot at 11:15am. Our 3rd Sunday fundraiser luncheon will be hosted by the 2014 Love God, Love Others, Serve the World DR Mission Team on October 20. The menu will be hamburger steak with gravy, hot dogs, green beans, buttered potatoes, brownies & ice cream. Make plans to come out, have a good meal and support the 2014 Dominican Republic Mission Team on October 20 following Sunday School or Worship. Kid’s Extreme Music Night, Sunday, October 20, 6:00-7:30pm – “It is time to G.L.O.W.!” All kids grades 1 – 5 are invited to come join the fun! Yard Sale/Bake Sale to benefit the new kitchen fund Saturday, October 26, 8am-1pm, at the Fellowship House. We are looking for volunteers to help with this sale! To make this a success we need baked items, donated items, and your help! Please see Donna Mack if you would like to help. W2W = Women to Women - Since 1869, the women of Mill Creek Church have been involved in ministry and that tradition continues! Ladies, we have an opportunity to provide toiletries and other items for the women at the Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women located in the town of Troy 55 miles northwest of Richmond. These items will be distributed by the chaplains as a part of their 2013 Christmas Gift Ministry. To join in this W2W effort, just pick up a gallon bag from the vestibule or near the food pantry box and return by October 27th. The RVBA Fall Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 22 (4pm – Business, 5:30pm – Dinner, 7pm – Worship) at Lynn Haven Baptist Church. The cost for dinner is $7. If you would like to attend, please call the church office by 10am Tuesday, Oct.15.
