Our welcome back Wednesday began with a trip to Creative Writing where the students got to brainstorm ideas of how they would give money away! When they returned, the students played Angry Verbs in spellography and examined our spelling list to see if we could find verbs and adverbs in our current spelling list. It was a nice change of pace. After spelling we went to gym for badminton and returned for math. In math we did a round of mastering math facts and then focused on creating area models for 2-digit by 2-digit numbers. The students did well and we will begin to move toward traditional methods in the coming days. Then it was time for lunch. After lunch we read from our Core Novel book The Witches and then had reading. In reading we met in groups and focused on cause/effect writing on our tableclothes. Students also met in group with Ms. Townsend to review their skill of the week of cause and effect and how it related to their Leahs Pony on Monday. The students had a lot of close support today. Tonight students should read 20 minutes and complete homework 2.11 and remembering 2.11. Have a great night.
