Out of the 16 who dared to contest, 13 lost badly. Ministers like Salman Khurshid lost deposit. Out of the three who managed to win, 2 were in Karnataka and one with very slender margin. Among the Ministers of State, only 9 dared to contest. Six lost. In the entire country, Congress did not get into 2 digits in a single state. It did not even get 10% seats of India, a minimum requirement for getting Leader of Opposition post. In nearly a dozen and half states and union territories, Congress did NOT open its account!
