Out of interest does anyone know if horses eye sight is effected by wearing fly masks? The reason I ask is because my appy has no hair in her ears and the gnats love eating the insides and making them bloody and crusty. She wears a fly mask when turned out. Shes in in the day and out at night however this/last year where the weather was so mild the gnats never really went away unless it was heavily raining. Im just a little concerned about the amount of time shell have to wear a mask and a fly bonnet wont stay in her as she does rub her head. I just wondered if shell be ok or if anyone knows anything that may be of concern about her wearing one most her time turned out? She is in from about 9-5 in the day at present and in the winter will be in when dark and out about 8am
