Outcome of the 10 March EID Meeting: The Board continued the discussion of implementing a drought surcharge in order to further discuss the District’s Drought Action Plan and in hopes that customers will show consistent upward conservation. Discussion of the Drought Action Plan will be brought back for discussion at the next regular Board meeting on March 24. And, the discussion of possible drought surcharges will be brought back at the April 14 Board meeting. We will also be holding a public workshop on the Drought Action Plan but that date has not yet been determined. The public workshop to be scheduled sole purpose is to discuss the drought action plan not a drought surcharge.
