Outdoor Alabama Sweepstakes Underway Lifetime hunting and fishing licenses, Yamaha generators and gift cards to Alabama State Parks are the prizes to be awarded in the Outdoor Alabama Sweepstakes, which runs through February 10, 2015. Entry is available at outdooralabama and comes automatically with the purchase of a 2014-2015 recreational hunting or fishing license. You may also enter without purchasing a license. Conservation Commissioner N. Gunter Guy Jr. says this year’s sweepstakes continues the department’s relationship with Yamaha and Alabama State Parks. “Yamaha has donated six generators worth more than $1,000 each. They have been a sweepstakes sponsor since we began the sweepstakes in 2011 and I want to thank them for their continue support of this program. State Parks is also a repeating sponsor with two $300 gift cards.” New this year is the awarding of two lifetime licenses: one for a lifetime of hunting, freshwater fishing and saltwater fishing, and one for freshwater and saltwater fishing. While the generators and State Parks gift cards may be awarded to residents or non-residents, the winners of the lifetime licenses must be Alabama residents. Only one entry per person is allowed for the sweepstakes, and it must be completed online. When purchasing a license online at outdooralabama, you are entered by clicking an icon at the end of the purchase process. You may opt not to participate if you don’t wish to enter the sweepstakes. If you purchase a license at a vendor, if you have a lifetime license or if you don’t want to purchase a license, you may enter by following the instructions online at outdooralabama. The official rules, complete list of prizes and entry instructions are available at outdooralabama/sweepstakes.
