Over 80,000 students skip Intermediate exam Hyderabad, March 18, 2014 : Over 80,388 or 7.45 per cent candidates abstained from the Intermediate Exams held across the State on Tuesday. According to Board of Intermediate Education, a total of 10,10,791 General and 67,998 Vocational candidates appeared for the Botany-I, Civics-I and Psychology-I paper. A total of 42 cases of malpractice has been booked against the candidates. The Board of Intermediate Education had sent Observers to Chittor, East Godavari, Guntur, Medak, Karimnagar, RR(Dist), Hyderabad and Mahaboobnagar Districts. The Secretary, BIE, Hyderabad also visited 3 centers in Hyderabad (Dist). One impersonation case in Kristu Jyothi Jr College, Reddigudem, Tallada, Khammam (Dist) was reported and the culprit was handed over to police All the Regional Inspection Officers were instructed to see that the Xerox machines in the Colleges, Schools and Degree colleges attached to the examination centers and other Xerox centres in the vicinity of the examination centres should remain closed during the examination hours with the help of the local MRO and Police officials. The examination has been conducted peacefully without any untoward incident, the Board said.
