Over the centuries of mans occupation of planet Earth, there have been many many Great Civilizations. The British Empire, The Ottoman-Turk Empire, the Dutch, The Spaniards, The Romans, The Portuguese, etc. and ALL have been reduced to rubble or damn near it because of a common thread among all of them. Their populations became lazy. IGNORANT AND APATHETIC. Even God said in the Book of Malachi...I would rather have you cold than luke warm. People get lazy and complacent. The HAVES have had for far too long and the Have Nots have little or no power, resources, and clout. People grow insular, and begin to look only inward. Begin to forget their common responsibilities to each other, to their countries, to their planet, to their neighbors, eventually even their own families as time passes and they become less and less engaged in the world around them. Life begins to lose its value to them, and then its meaning. Sound familiar? IT SHOULD. BUT DOES IT RESONATE? Does it make you want to stand up and go HELL NO. ENOUGH. or maybe nothing will ever again as America and then like dominos others fall prey to the same malaise. One common fallacy is that people really do convince themselves that it cant happen HERE. We are too big, powerful, wealthy, important, and so forth. All utterly ridiculous positions to hold cause look at the Brits etc. They did the same thing and look at them now by comparison? But if you are bound and determined to do your part to help bring down this latest GREAT SOCIETY, be my guest. Might be fun to see the look on the faces of those who are JUST TOO BUSY to DO...when they realize that they COULD Have made a difference in the end result, but...DID NOT.
