OUTDOOR PROGRAM LEADERS – (3 positions) **Starts in March** Do you look forward to a new challenge everyday? Have a passion for the outdoors, and working with children? Can you find magic in the smallest teachable moment? This could be the PERFECT job for you. We’re looking for energetic and inspirational people to instruct elementary to high school students in residential outdoor education programs. You’ll be living onsite at KK from March 10th–June 26th, 2014, (excluding breaks between sessions. Opportunity to live on site during breaks is available. ) As a part of our spring program. What will you be doing? -Working as part of a team to instruct fun and safe environmental education programs for all participants in an outdoor environment -Developing, maintaining and setting up and taking down of program areas To do this job, you’re going to need: A minimum 1 season experience working with Kamp Kiwanis Daytrip program (Don’t worry- We’ll count additional experience in an educational, recreational, residential, camp or outdoor setting too.) -Strong communication, conflict resolution and leadership skills -Proven track record working independently and in a team environment -Mature, positive and responsible attitude -Enjoy living and cooperating in community setting Qualifications -Current Standard First Aid and CPR -Secondary School Diploma (Working towards or completion of post-secondary education in child or youth care, education, kinesiology, outdoor pursuits, recreation or related field is an asset) Clear Police Security Clearance check Minimum of 18 years of age by the start
