Over the past 11 years, many people have said things to me such as Wow, I wish I didnt have to go to work every day! On Tuesday, Im getting *38* injections in my face for the fourth time. Do you wish you could have that, too? Chronic migraines are not for the weak. They are a full-time job that requires constant effort, research, and advocacy, not to mention appointments and meetings, treatment options ranging from merely uncomfortable to outright excruciating, long arguments with insurance companies, travel, and constantly fighting to overcome the stigma that comes along with any invisible illness, particularly ones involving chronic pain. Just because you cannot see it does not mean it does not exist. I will continue to be a voice for the Migraine/Chronic Pain Community until every single one of us (past, present, and future) are treated with the respect and compassion that we deserve.
