Over the years, students of prophecy have speculated the meaning of the first four seals in Revelation, the so called four horsemen of the apocalypse. I for one try to do everything I can to let the Bible answer it’s own questions but so far I have found very little in the Bible to help identify who these figures are. As a result, I’m going to give you my perspective of what the four horsemen represent based on the limited information the Bible gives us and what I see happening around us today and historically. In short, I believe it is very possible that our president or possibly some future American president could represent the rider of the black horse ie the rider associated with the third seal. As I discussed in a previous article here, I believe it is virtually certain that the seals, trumpets and bowls in Revelation are providing three different angles of prophecy and as such can be viewed more or less independently. The Sixth Seal represents the Day of The Lord. There is a veritable mountain of scriptural support for this conclusion. So, what do the first four seals represent? The prophet Zechariah gives us a clue.
