Overheard someone in the halls complaining about receiving some critical remarks on a paper. Let me explain something to those who arent used to writing or receiving criticism. If your prof thumps on your paper, its a challenge to assert yourself and prove you know what youre talking about. Some of the best criticisms you can ever receive are also the sharpest and sometimes quite painful; its the only way you can learn and grow as a student, as a professional, as a human being.
