Overnight rain which very briefly raised temperatures slightly has cleared south east leaving us in a chilly north west flow with sunny spells and showers. The showers mostly in the north and west, and some are wintry, giving accumulations of snow to high ground and to some lower levels of Northern Scotland. It remains this way over the weekend before rain pushes into the far north west late Sunday.
