PAGASA 24-Hour Public Weather Forecast Issued at 5:00 p.m., 21 April 2014 Valid beginning: 5:00 p.m. today until 5:00 p.m. Synopsis: At 4:00 PM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 830 km east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (10.3ºN, 134.2ºE). ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA) extending over nOrthern Luzon. Forecast: The whole country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon and over Eastern Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Light to moderate winds coming from the east to northeast will prevail over the rest of Visayas and of Luzon and from the north to northwest over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas. Per JTWC -TROPICAL DISTURBANCE SUMMARY: (1) THE AREA OF CONVECTION PREVIOUSLY LOCATED NEAR 10.4N 138.5E, HAS DISSIPATED AND IS NO LONGER SUSPECT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SIGNIFICANT TROPICAL CYCLONE IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS.-with Gov Joey Sarte Salceda (Weak LPA may just bring light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms over Samar to Bicol.)
