PALM BEACH COUNTY SEMINOLE MAROON BATTLEFIELD REMEMBRANCE ON JANUARY 18 For the 20th year, the two Seminole War battles which changed American history in 1838, and their continuing legacies, will be remembered in a day-long observance from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, at Loxahatchee Battlefield Park, 9060 West Indiantown Road, one mile west of Florida’s Turnpike and Interstate 95, in Jupiter, Florida, as part of the Dr. Martin Luther King holiday weekend, with Native American and African traditional ceremonies, prayer, military honors, brief lectures, open-mic “Village Talk,” historical displays, battlefield tours, and more.
