PAMPIEROS ARE STORMS THAT ARE BORN OVER THE PAMPAS IN ARGENTINA. I have several Personal experiences of the pampieros. My first was when at sea entering into the RIVER PLATE BAY. I was sailing fully rigged with three sails, SURVIVALS SPEED WAS 15knots, suddenly the whole of the rigging was covered in cobwebs, there was mini spiders everywhere , the whole boat began to look like something from a HOLLYWOODIAN swamp movie. The decks were writhing in insects, the gossamer looking threads blew in the direction. Opposite to the windblow, and SURVIVAL INCREASED HER SPEED TO 17knots, obviously the cobwebs were acting as sails, the coastline of ARGENTINAS BUENAS AIRES was nearing fast so I dropped sails, and turned on the IRON GENNY MOTOR. On arrival to the CLUB SAN FERNANDO MARINA ,I was informed that the spider webs were. Threads thrown out as parachutes ,by millions, if not trillions of desperate (BLOWIN IN THE WIND SPIDERS ) blown from the desertification of the ARGENTINIAN PAMPAS . Or WASTELANDS.my next pampieros expieriences was whilst staying up on CHAPADA DE GUIMARÃES . That high mountain top town of excessive magnetism, that town with over two hundred waterfalls including stream falls, that town where in certain caves one can on occasions hear THE SNORING MOUNTAIN from the deep depths below down the tunnels of air . We were invited to a party at a horse breeders farm, on arrival there was about fifty other people (mostly musicians ) including TETE ESPINOLA, the bird song copier of repute. The drinks were served from a large fruit bowl, ladelled out ,with a monkeys head spoon. The joints were non stop pass around, the atmosphere jovial(at first) but soon I felt I had to get out into the fresh air of the night, as I walked away from the farm house into the starry night I relished I was TRIPPING, hallucinating, LSD had been planted in the punch. As I walked the wind suddenly increased to an icy storm blow ,within minutes it was minus zero, And I was without a coat, the wind speed increased to over a 100 miles an hour, I was blown over, sooo I gripped the grassy ground, and hung on , I ALLMOST passed out , if it had not been for the acid in my head, I may have not recovered the frost, then the GOSSAMER THREADS. Covered my freezing body , the wind dropped, and the excessive heat of over 40degrees Celsius put back the lead back in my pencil. Thought sby captain Clive Kelly .
