PARENTS: If you have child under the age of 3, please PAY ATTENTION. Autism is a very complex developmental disorder that appears in the first 3 years of childs life, and affects the brains normal development of social and communication skills. Its also know as ASD. SOCIAL SKILLS - May be uninterested in socializing with others, sometimes offensive in their comments, and may have difficulty uderstanding another persons feelings. PHYSICAL CONTACT - They dont like being touched. NOISE, SMELL, AND SOUND - They dont like being shocked or changes in noises, smells, and lights. They often find these changes to be unpleasant. SPEECH - Believe it or not, they dont like speaking. When they do speak, they sound very formal (proper) or woody. Kind of like a young professor. REPETITIVE BEHAVIOR - They love routine. What may seem bizarre to others is what is a normal routine is to them. If out of routine, they become confused. OBSESSIONS - They are obsessed with one or many things. It may be one video game thats played over and over again (boys) or braiding their favorite dolls hair over and over again (girls).
