Competence starts with the feeling of competence. Failure starts with the feeling of it. Depression starts with the feeling of it. Likewise, sickness starts with the feeling of it, and on and on like that. People who do not think they are good at what they do – who do not think they are capable do not change their opinions even when they are presented with opportunities. Instead, their self-doubts overrule evidence to the contrary. You do not have to see proofs or get convinced about something before you can start feeling it. Feelings are cultivated deliberately. For instance, your healing or health recovery process begins with your ability to cultivate the feeling that your health is improving. If you cannot have the feeling that your health is getting better, there is no amount of drug administered that can work. This same phenomenon applies to all other situation and circumstances. This is because feelings in the form of electrical signals travel via the nerve by action potential, and are diffused to target organs with the help of neurotransmitters. A job performance test conducted by Gribble in the year 2000 in the United States of America revealed that, for most people studied, the first step towards improving their job performance had nothing to do with the job itself but with improving how they felt about themselves. In fact, for eight in ten people, self-image matters more in how they rate their job performance than does the actual job performance. Negative circumstances will always be there. Intimidating facts will always be there. What you see or hear may not be encouraging. However, if you want to maximize life or reach the top, cultivate positive feelings regardless of facts. See yourself operate in that positive feeling and confess the feeling. A great turnaround awaits you today in Jesus name!
