PCPC rates, lowest by: Iloilo Metropolitan Times CONCEPCION, Iloilo - The Palm Concepcion Power Corp.’s (PCPC) power rate is one of the lowest approved rates of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). This was after its Capital Recovery Fee (CRF) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) rates was validated on the calculations of the ERC following the application for the approval of the Electric Power Purchase Agreement (EPPA). Aside from PCPC, Negros Oriental I Electric Cooperative’ rates was also approved the lowest. The decision was based on the accounts of both parties that were presented during the jurisdictional hearing, expository presentation, pre-trial conference and evidentiary hearing on December 4, 2013. The approved CRF of Php 2.55/kWh in the EPPA is actually lower by Php0.0133/kWh than the calculated CRF by the Commission hence, this was deemed as being more advantageous to the electric consumers of NORECO I. NORECO I signed a 10-year EPPA with PCPC for the supply of 2 MW capacity of electricity from the coal-fired power plant being constructed now in Barangay Nipa, Concepcion, Iloilo.
