PCS Alum: One benefit of living in a small community is the willingness of everyone to come together to help those in need, whether it be for a school event, sports fundraiser, or helping a local family. We have SUCH a supportive community, and Im asking for YOUR help for a LOCAL family in such need. Many of us went to school with the Valik family. While most of the Valiks have graduated, one of the kids still attends PCS, and is part of the cheer-leading squad. Jessica, her older sister, has a 3 year old son Jackson (Jax), who suffers from an illness called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) - a skin condition where the skin blisters and is very painful. EB children live in such pain everyday. HERES WHATS IMPORTANT: Jax is in need of a ***life-saving*** bone marrow transplant to be performed in MINNESOTA. Jessica finally received approval through insurance for a consult (hopefully followed by approval for the transplant), but she and Jax STILL are in need of funds in order to GET to MN, as well as help with other medical expenses not covered by insurance. Ive set up a Jamberry Nails fundraiser online (SUPER easy and convenient), and I would LOVE for our small town to rally around this family and help Jax as much as possible.
