PDD lineman sustains serious injuries: A Power Development Department (PDD) lineman got critically injured at Beerwah village in central Kashmirs Budgam district. Official sources said that Bashair Ahmad Hajam of Wanihama,Beerwah, working as an electric lineman in the department injured seriously after he came in contact with a live wire while repairing High transmission line (HT) at Wanihama Check village. Sources said that the people of the area were complaining of the fall of electric lines in the area due to snowfall. In the mean time the lineman reached the spot and started repairing the damaged lines. The injured lineman was immediately shifted to SKIMS hospital here in Srinagar where his condition is stated to be serious.
