PEP TALK: Tonight, is the last Football Game of the Season for the Black Cats. Do not look at it as an end, look at it as a Journey. For some, it is the last hurdle that stated when you were in Pop Warner. For others, it began in Junior High. At this point, winning or losing does not matter. What matters is how you played the game. Football is a team sport. You have been honored for many years as being part of a team. You have learned that being part of a team, that the team is more important than the individual. You have learned that victory does not come easy. It is hard work and dedication that will take you where you want to be. Many of you Seniors will hold you head in shame for the record the team has for the last 2 1/2 half years. Do NOT!!! Hold your head up high and remind people that your are Proud and that you NEVER gave up. Anyone can be a Quitter. It take a person with real heart to be a gracious loser. In years to come, No one will be able to remember the actual score of each and every game you played without a stat sheet. They will remember that you were a part of a team. That you fought to the very end. Despite all odds, problems, and hurdles, you finished your career in style. Some of you will go on to play football on the next level. For you, hopefully success will come much easier. For others, you will walk on the gridiron for the last time tonight. For you, always remember the valuable life lessons that you learned on the field. You dont always win. There are always two teams on the field. One will win, and one will lose. You can be knocked down. Its not always that you get knocked down but rather that you are able to get up, dust yourself off, and fight another day. You can do your best, and still not win. Life is not always fair. Even officials, that are supposed to be fair, do not always get it right. There is always someone to support you. Look at the stands, there are family members, teachers, friends, as well as people that you do not know, that will support you, know matter what. Tonight, end your season with the honor that you deserve. Be proud that you were given the ability to have been able to participate, win or lose. There are others that would have loved to have just been able to play, win or lose. Always believe in yourself. For with a positive attitude, even a loss will bring you success in life. Success one three. One.....................Two..........................Three.......................SUCCESS!!!!!!!!
