PET RELATED JOB PET SPECIALIST AT WOOLWORTHS SYDNEY Reporting to the Category Quality Manager, the Quality Specialist, working alongside the buying, merchandising and marketing teams will provide QA support and expertise to help deliver quality products that customers will switch and stay for. Role Responsibilities Driver of emerging technology & developments that support the category innovation plan Support the category to deliver safe, legal and quality products, ensuring quality remains the priority for all category products Provide product development and technical expertise to category business teams Managing and influencing internal & external stakeholders Conduct benchmarking & market reviews to drive quality standards within the category Contribute towards the buying decision for new products by writing complete technical briefs Determine testing requirements for products to the appropriate level of due diligence and regulatory compliance Ensure all suppliers of Woolworths Branded products have appropriate technical and ethical audit compliance prior to supply. Monitor returns and customer complaints, investigating where required and taking appropriate action to drive continuous improvement and ensure customer satisfaction Ensure products and suppliers meet all Woolworths Policies and Standards The Ideal Candidate Product experience within field including a background in industry/retail with good manufacturing / process knowledge Ability to operate in a fast paced culture of change Successful track record of delivering safe, legal, quality products to the customer Be able to demonstrate customer focus Organisational and strong communication skills Operate across product areas and multiple projects within category whilst meeting specified timelines Demonstrated supply and stakeholder management skills Understanding of country and global supply chain processes Audit, ISO 9001, or quality management systems trained HACCP / Risk assessment knowledge and practiced experiencw Extensive demonstrated experience reviewing and releasing products for the retail market.
