PF Confusion: Kambwili Sued for Defamation Top class confusion has continued to rock the Patriotic Front government with the raging war between lawmakers from neigbhouring areas going to court for character assassination. Sports minister Chishimba, who is Roan MP, has been sued by his Luanshya counterpart Steve Chungu whom he had recently referred to as a “car thief.” Chungu is demanding damages for slander, compensatory damages, exemplary damages, interest, legal costs and an order of injunction restraining Kambwili from referring to him as a former car thief. The two MPs have differed in what is a deep effect of the power struggle that has manifested in the ruling party. Chungu is a Wynter Kabimba sympsathiser and his going to court was inspired by the Fred M’membe campaign to intimidate and neutralise Kambwili. Kambwili is suspected to habour presidential ambitions and after ejecting defence minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba, M’membe and Kabimba also want the sports minister out of the equation. Kambwili has shown interest in taking over the PF presidency but is aspirations are being neutralised by the cartel led by M’membe who does not anyone other than Kabimba to start canvassing support from PF members and eventaully electorates in an event the Head of State does not make the 2016 race. zambiareports/2014/01/21/pf-confusion-kambwili-sued-defamation/
