PG: Okay, gentlemen. It’s been great chatting with you all, but all good things come to an end and now it’s time for our last question of the day. So, if you could you please indulge us one more time, we’d like to know how you each would define love. Ryan: Oh, geez. That’s great. Who came up with this question anyway? It was Sinead, wasn’t it? I’d bet anything it was her. PG: Well, actually, you’d be wrong about that. If you must know, this question was submitted by a fan of yours. Nick: *snickers* A fan. Right. Ryan: What’s so funny. I can have fans. Nick: Yeah. Fans who like to bust your balls, apparently. You gonna give ‘em the answer they want? Ryan: I am if they want the same answer I gave last time I was here. Love’s a pain in the ass. Liam: Seriously? You said that last time and you still won? And Siobhan still hasn’t cut you loose? Nick: She hasn’t shot him again either, as far as I know. Ryan: Ah, Siobhan knows I love her to death, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t ruin me for anyone else. And it sure as hell doesn’t mean I have to like it. Love…look it changes everything, you know? Your whole life, whatever you had planned, once love enters the picture, everything else is out the window. Liam: It changes everything because it IS everything. Love gives you the power to do things you never thought you could do. It fixes the broken places inside. Nick: Aw, that’s nice. Liam: Piss off, Greco. Nick: No, I mean it. I’m being serious here. It’s a good answer. I just think you guys are over-thinking it, that’s all. It’s simpler than that. Liam: Yeah? So what’s your answer? Nick: Love is family. Liam: Okay, not what I was expecting. Ryan: I don’t think he’s talking about incest, in case that’s where your twisted mind is going. Liam: It wasn’t. Not until you brought it up. WTF, man? Nick: *sighs* Right, I don’t mean just blood relations. What I mean is that the people you love, who you’ve taken into your heart, that’s your family, right? Love is kind of like the glue that holds all of that together. When you love someone, it’s unconditional. You trust what your heart tells you about them—no matter what anyone else has to say about it. And, if they’re in some kind of trouble, you do whatever your heart tells you to do, no matter what that thing is, to make things right for them. So, yeah: you’re both right, in a way. Sometimes you find yourself doing things for love’s sake that you never thought you could do, or that you never wanted to do, or that you don’t even know for sure that you should be doing. Love doesn’t always give you choices and that can be a major PITA. But, like I said. Love is family and family is everything. So we’re all right. Capisce? Liam: Yeah. Got it. And that’s not over-thinking things at all. Ryan: *rolls eyes* Nope. Totally simple. I almost even followed nearly all of it. Nick: Bite me. PG: And there we have it. Once again, you have until midnight tomorrow to cast your votes. This month’s prize is a signed copy of book four, A Taste of Honey, and a lavender sachet. Thank you all for playing along this month. Next month’s contest will take place on October 6th. I have absolutely no idea who we’re going to have as contestants next time around, but I’m open to suggestions. So if there’s someone you’d like to hear from again, please speak up! Thanks and goodnight!
