PICK-MAN A film by and with: Markus Frowein Shall I tell you something about cigarette filter tubes? This one here, lying around, contaminates 40 liters of groundwater. The nicotine, dioxin, formaldehyde and cadmium of one filter tube can kill a toddler. Disposed into the toilet, the poison finally ends up as sludge on fields. Each year 4,5 trillion cigarette filter tubes are thoughtlessly thrown away. One filter tube is enough to kill a fish. All butts together can release 1 ton of arsenic. Animals might not distinguish between food and trash. Therefore some die as horrible, like this. Rain often flushes plastic and butts into drains. From the drain its way continues to the next river (e. g. Lech), from there to a bigger river (e.g. Donau) and then towards the sea. This is, what it finally looks like. (picture with a man in a boat on trash sea) Meanwhile at least 100 000 000 tons of plastic trash are floating in the oceans. The plastic particles crumble and take up poisonous substances. Then these plastic particles get back to the food chain. And finally the plastic gets back to you, e.g. when you are eating fish. It stays in your body and accumulates. Throw your butts into the trash bucket, for your own advantage. Exactly for this reasons, I started playing PICK-MAN. First the demo-version at river Wertach: Thereby trash piles like this gathered (picture with trash bike). Some more trash piles (picture with blue trash bag; the writing says: Trash from this green area) And even more trash piles (picture with huge trash pile at a bridge railing). Here I pass twice a week, at 7.45 a.m. (picture of Welser-School, a vocational business school). And all around it always looks like this (picture of butt heaps). Finally fed with this, I took my besom... ... and started playing PICK-MAN level 1. So that it won`t look as nacker anymore. (picture with writing Keep your planet clean) And that the damned trash stops getting on my nerves. (German has a phrase with ghost, therefore the little blue ghost on the pavement). And people pooing everywhere, they go and stand. ( writing says: Dear Dog, please stop pooing that much onto the lawn. Thank you.) Exactly therefore I do this work. amaroland.de This makes me happy.
