PLEASE HELP !! Santosh Rajashekar Alysha Lobo Prathap Puttu Sindhoor Pangal Ar Amulya S Shamalatha Rao Varun Patravali Yasmin Claire Kazi Asha Shenoy Once again my aged parents need a shelter for a dog and her 9 puppies which are about 5 weeks old. She had littered in the storm water drain near Vandanas aunts house,just after Biskeets rescue. The drain was not accessible and she used to enter through a small opening and take care of her pups all alone. We started feeding her with rice and chicken which we cook for our pet dog. She used to bark a lot when she was out of the drain assuming each paaserby and passing vehicle was a threat to her babies. This irritated the neighbours and one day we were shocked find one stranger trying to frighten the mother in the hole through which she used to enter the drain may be to kill or frighten the mother dog.One other neighbour had also complained to BBMP to take away this and the other mange dog. While we understand that these might be genuine issues when it comes to peoples sleep,we were alarmed by these developments decided to remove the puppies and keep in our house as (through Vandana)Archana had told us that she could pick them up and lodge in Simbas. Yesterday the puppies came out 9 in all. As we feed the mother she did not object to our shifting the puppies in a carton to our house and we gave her also shelter in the small spare bathroom at ours. Now Archana says that as they are young they cant be acommodated at Simbas. Can you pl. talk to the people and arrange to pick these up? Or my husband is willing to bring them to Simbas. The puppies are very healthy and we sudsect there still may be one or two more in the drain as mom dog has gone inside the drain since morning and is barking at all passers by indicating presence of pups inside,may the weaklings or the timid ones. Somehow we are arranging labour to break the drain slab to get the other pups if any out. We have to arrange for a shelter for the dog and pups today itself. The dog can be sterilized and sent back here once the pups are big enough. Pl.help us re home in a shelter today itself as we are old and it is tough on us to clean and maintain.
