PLEASE NOTE: Much will happen before the march starts on Saturday, so do be there in good time (Keizergracht Street, next to the Cape Town University of Technology)! 1) There may still be a few T-shirts and bumper stickers available for those who missed out! 2) There will be a raffle - pen and ink drawing (original - see pic) by Marna Schoeman - renowned artist whose paintings have been taken up in private collections as far afield as the USA and Ireland. R10 per ticket (drawing based on a rather tragic African tale). 3) You may well be able to hear the Djembe drummers practicing their march beat in between the start of day announcements and activities. PLEASE note we will pass the hat around for them at the end of the day, so do put an extra R5 in your pocket. They have kindly agreed to give our march that African flavour we need on the day! YAY! 4) Kenesias Dambakurima will have 50 copies of his brand new CD (animal related poetry to music) Return to Self available at R100 each for those wishing to buy a pre-release copy! (I will be in front of the row.) Profit will go to the Campaign Against Canned Hunting (cannedlion.org). Kenesias will recite another poem for us at Parliament. 5) You will be able to sign our float immortalising your support for the cause. 6) You can volunteer to be a marshal and get your red armband. 7) You can volunteer to carry one of the banners. 8) There will be SOME placards available to carry - please make your own if you can though. 9) There will be much to be photographed! The long and the short of it - come in good time and put a few rand in your pocket should you wish to buy any of the above items, but a raffle ticket or CD and please do not forget that R5 for the Djembe Drummers!
