PLEASE PLEASE READ OVER! Thank you! Friendly reminder to ALL BARREL RACERS and BARREL REPS at any rodeo on any given day, slack or performance. BARREL REP must make sure to locate the barrel bag and timers and make sure timers are working correctly PRIOR to the rodeo. After the rodeo is over, put timers and barrel bag away in a safe place or with the person that is to bring them to the next rodeo. (It is not HRA’s responsibility to provide a barrel bag, so please treat it with care) Either mark/set pattern (if drawn up on first day) OR locate the barrel racing sheet (with measurements on it) and find a judge to go over pattern that was set by the first days barrel rep to make sure nothing has been moved around. It is the last performance barrel reps duty to make sure they pull staked markers out and return them to Barrel Bag. The first two and the last two carded competitors in the LADIES barrel racing have the responsibility to make sure the last two set up timers, and the first two take down timers. ***If the draw so happens to put the barrel rep up first two or last two in the go round, she still has the responsibility to take down or set up timers.*** If a contestant enters the ladies barrel racing and are also in the junior barrel racing. There is still a chance you could be drawn as barrel rep. It will still be your duty to accomplish the tasks listed above. If you are a Carded member of the Heartland Rodeo Association and enter the ladies barrel racing there is a chance you will be drawn as Barrel Rep. It is randomly drawn every rodeo, therefore if you are Barrel Rep for more then one rodeo a year it is NOT THE SECRETARIES FAULT and you can either complete your duties or find someone to trade with, and it will NOT be up to the secretary to find a trade for you. Reminder to all barrel racers that PRACTICE runs before the rodeo starts. Barrels must be at least 10 feet from staked markers. And practice runs are only allowed in the arena until 1 hour before the rodeo or slack performances. If there are ANY questions you may have feel free to call or text me: 1-204-212-2501 Hope everyone has a FANTASTIC weekend in Richer!!! :D See you there!
