PLEASE READ - ONGOING SCAM IN DAWSON CREEK! Early this afternoon my Grandpa received a call from a lady who was pretending to be me! The creepy thing is, she even knew my name and said Grandpa its Brittany. She told him she was in trouble, and needed his help. She proceeded to tell him she went out last night for a birthday party with a friend, and that she had too much to drink and got into an accident. She said she only had a bloody nose from the accident, but was still in custody. She asked him to send my lawyer $4,000 to bail me out, and asked him to please not tell my dad, or anyone else. My grandpa then received a call from my lawyer and got the information where to send the money. My grandparents tried calling my cell phone on another phone line, but I had company over and did not answer. The lawyer told him the cops confiscated my cell phone when he asked why I wasnt answering. Thank god my grandpa decided to drive to my house before sending the money to these douche bags. These people will do anything to make you believe the story. They even discussed my daughter when my grandpa asked where she was and if she was in the vehicle with me. When my grandfather reported this to the cops, they told him this happened to someone else in Dawson Creek, and that they are targeting seniors :(
